Ranshi ('disordered thread') is an ancient lacquering method that creates an organic, one-of-a-kind surface resembling tangled silk threads frozen in time. Lost for decades, it was meticulously revived by artisan Yoshihiko Fujii of Nurikobo Fujii studio.
