Kintsugi Cold Tea Glass – Clear Textured Tumbler, Dishwasher-Safe Lacquer

Kintsugi is a uniquely Japanese method of repairing broken ceramics and lacquerware by joining the fragments together with lacquer and gold or other metallic powder. This clear cold tea glass recreates that design, with golden "seams" running across its textured glass surface. It features Nurikobo Fujii's original finish.

It is dishwasher-safe lacquered glass tableware. Special lacquer is applied to the back of the glass and sealed with a special dishwasher-safe coating resin. Because the lacquer sits behind the glass, the surface you touch is glass, which conventional lacquerware could not offer. The coating on the back protects the lacquered surface from scratches, and sandwiching the lacquer in the dishwasher-safe coating greatly improves its resistance to detergent and heat.

At 75 mm (2.95 in) across and 57 mm (2.24 in) tall, it is a compact glass suited to cold tea, cold sake, water or other cold drinks.
