Blue Fireworks Makie Small Plate 5.9in – Dishwasher-Safe Lacquer Glass

A deep "Majo" blue plate decorated with a fireworks design in makie, the traditional Japanese lacquer decoration technique. Bursts of colour glow against the deep blue, like fireworks lighting up a night sky.

It is dishwasher-safe lacquer glass tableware. Special lacquer is applied to the back of the glass and sealed with a special dishwasher-safe coating resin. Because the lacquer sits behind the glass, the surface you use is glass, so cutlery can be used on it, which conventional lacquerware does not allow. The coating on the back protects the lacquered surface from cutlery scratches, and sandwiching the lacquer in the dishwasher-safe coating greatly improves its resistance to detergent and heat.

At 150 × 95 mm (5.91 × 3.74 in), it is a compact rectangular plate that suits small servings such as sweets and appetizers, or as an accent plate.
