The Patented Wave Structure

Craftsmanship
Hand-Finished Wire Tips
Each wire end is carefully finished by skilled craftsmen — tips are melted and rounded, not simply polished. Gentler on hands, less likely to catch on cloths. These details matter over years of daily use.

18-8 Stainless Steel
Both body and tray use 18-8 stainless steel — highly resistant to rust, durable in wet environments, and built for the long term. No coatings, no mixed materials, fully recyclable at end of life.
Good Design Award
HANAUTA's patented wave structure was recognized by Japan's Good Design Award in 2017. Launched in 2016, it has been refined through years of manufacturing expertise in Sanjo-shi — a city long known as the centre of Japanese metalwork.

The patented wave design also eliminates unnecessary moving parts, meaning there's nothing to break, loosen, or replace over time.
When its long life eventually ends, every component can be fully recycled through standard metal recycling streams. No coatings, no mixed materials, no harmful substances — just the right material, chosen for the right reasons.
