Yoshihiko Fujii is a Japanese lacquer (urushi) artisan who reinterprets traditional maki-e and gold-leaf techniques for contemporary Western-style tableware. Each piece is hand-finished in Japan, layering lacquer and metallic leaf over a glass or resin base to create colour and shimmer that shift with the angle of light.
